Privacy
What this site collects and where it goes.
Cookies and storage
This site sets no cookies. It stores nothing on your device, which means no local storage and no session storage either.
That was measured rather than assumed. The site was loaded in a real browser and checked for cookies and for both kinds of browser storage. All of them were empty.
Because nothing is stored on your device, there is no consent banner and none is required.
One step of the signup flow is the exception. After you submit the signup form, confirming your email currently takes you to a page hosted at kit.com, which sets four cookies on its own domain. This site sets none of them. They belong to Kit, and this page will be updated if that step changes.
Analytics
The site runs Cloudflare Web Analytics. Its measurement script is present on every page and loads from Cloudflare rather than from this domain.
Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies and does not store an identifier on your device. That was checked against the script itself, which contains no use of cookies or of browser storage, and the response that serves it sets no cookie. It reports aggregate figures such as page views and referrers, and it is not used to build a profile of you.
Email signup
The Roadmap signup form posts your email address straight to Kit. The form runs no script of its own and loads none of Kit's, so nothing about the submission is tracked beyond that one address.
Kit is the data processor and Christian Colon is the data controller. Signing up sends Kit your email address. There is no name field, so nothing else is sent. Kit publishes a data processing addendum and relies on the EU to United States Data Privacy Framework and on Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers to the United States.
Contact form
The contact form sends what you write to Formspree, which forwards it to my inbox. That is whatever you type into the message, the email address you give for a reply, and your name if you add it. Nothing else is sent.
Formspree is a data processor and Christian Colon is the data controller. Formspree keeps a dashboard of submissions, so a message that fails to reach the inbox can be recovered rather than lost.
YouTube
Videos are not loaded until you ask for one. An Article carrying a companion video shows a placeholder, and nothing is requested from YouTube until you press play. The link to the channel in the header and the footer is an ordinary link, so it contacts YouTube only if you follow it.
What this page does not yet cover
Both forms are live, and this page describes what each one sends and to whom. It will be confirmed against the live site one more time at launch.
